New York City Latin Theme Entertainment
There is so much to do in New
York that it's hard to know where to begin. Before you check
out a Latin theme party, Cuban theme party or Latin dance show,
have a look at what's happening on Broadway, home to some of
the biggest and best shows in the world.
Alternatively, stroll around
Times Square, where there's always some form of entertainment
to tempt salsa enthusiasts.
There really is something for
everyone. In January, antique hunters can choose among four shows
that offer antiques from across the centuries.
In February, check out dolls
and teddy bears at the Toy Expo and Cultural Festival near Lincoln
Center. March sees ice shows at the Riverbank State Park.
June is the month to sample the
best of New York's cuisine at the Ninth Avenue International
Food Festival. July is the peak season for New York's salsa lovers.
The Puerto Rican Day parade features
bands, entertainment and Latin music that will thrill all salsa
dancers. It's a great chance to put on your dancing shoes to
celebrate New York City's largest ethnic group.
There's more dancing in July
with the International Dance Festival, while Labor Day weekend
in Brooklyn brings the chance to celebrate in a tropical Caribbean
style with the West Indian-American Day Parade.
Don't miss the NYC Underground
Comedy Festival in October. You will laugh till you cry when
you hear some of the world's funniest comedians. To round out
the year's events, salsa dancers should check out the tree lighting
and ice skating at the Rockefeller Center in November and the
New Year's Eve celebrations in Times Square.
